Skydiving!

Today I went skydiving with two close friends/classmates. We left Boston around 5am and drove to Lebanon, ME (http://www.skydivenewengland.com/). We reserved spots ahead, as they fill up quickly! The dive was 14,000 feet! 10,000 of which are freefall and 4,000 via parachute. The freefall lasts only 50 seconds. Here are some of the better photos:

Let's pretend that I'm athletic...

Ok, let's pretend that I have decent hand-eye coordination for a moment. It has occured to me that I might want to join one of the Boston-area gay sports teams. Of course, I'm not sure which sport would be a good fit. The point here is to: (1) become friends with more gay men, and (2) reinforce my commitment to a healthy lifestyle. I'd like to avoid any injuries, so Hockey is firmly out of the question. Also, I'd like to avoid any lawsuits -- thus I'm removing Darts from the list as well.

There's an entire listing of sports at www.pridesportsboston.com, so I guess I just need to pick something. I'm leaning heavily towards the swim team, as I did take lessons for a long time. Plus, swimmers always look awesome.

Busy evening

Today marks the end of my Spring Break. To celebrate a week of not studying after work, I'm going to do two things:

1) Go to a George Carlin comedy show
2) Attend a classmate's back-to-school party

I'm hoping that Carlin isn't one of those comedians that take pleasure in ridiculing individual members of the audience. I'm very fragile.

Summer Registration

I've reached a milestone in my business school education -- I've just registered for my final core (required) class: SP700SB1 Current Topics in Law & Ethics. From here on out, it's just electives.

Today I'm taking a PTO day from work to sleep/study/workout/go to whole foods.

New everything!

Today, after a brisk 5 hours of studying, I went to the BU Computer Store and purchased (1) an iPod Nano, (2) a Nike sensor and (3) an iPod armband. I have yet to "calibrate" the sensor, which will involve running for 400 meters and walking for 400 meters. I can also select a power song, which is sort of a "shortcut" song that the runner believes is inspirational. Something like "Eye of the Tiger" would probably be an appropriate song.

As I'm typing this, I'm staring at a large, thick "whey" protein shake that seems to be growling at me from the other side of my desk. It's not that I don't like you, Protein Shake... it's just that I'm still getting used to your presence.

Oh - I also have a City Sports water bottle, because I'm totally awesome.

I'm going to end this post with a link to a truly offensive blog: Stuff White People Like

Pumped up!

Guess what I'm about to have in common with Chuck Norris, Suzanne Somers and Cher?!?

I'm making arrangements to possibly join a gym! I've decided to print out a free, 2-week coupon to the BSC. For moral support, I'm trying to convince a friend to do the trial with me. I think this could be fun, unless people are mean to me at the gym.
