Rabbit, rabbit!

Hey - did you remember to say "Rabbit, Rabbit!" either at midnight, or when you woke up this morning? If you did, then you're in for good luck for the entire month! This sort of superstition appeals to me, mostly b/c of the whole obsessive-compulsive thing. I tend to say rabbit, rabbit about 5 or 6 times, just to make sure it soaks in and I get the optimal amount of good luck for the month.

I also tend to think that if I say Rabbit rabbit at the stroke of midnight on New Year's, I'll be in for additional good luck for the entire year. Yes - crazy.

Here's a link to wikipedia re: this rabbit rabbit stuff. I swear I did *not* make this up. I blame Nickelodeon, which used to encourage its young and impressionable viewers to participate in this nonsense every month.

Statwatch, 2007

Much to my surprise, I have been asked twice in the past week by two distinct, avid readers of my blog as to my future intentions to post an update. As I'm a little dry on ideas, now would be an excellent time to kick off...

That's right! I'll be taking my very first statistics class this summer, and a logo was necessary. Just like Fox News develops interesting little logos for current events, I believe this might be a headliner on the 6 o'clock, Live-Action-Webster-News... but you can call it LAWN for short.

So, I've purchased my statistics book, and I've pawed through the first chapter. I have to say, I've always wanted to take a statistics class. Everyone has cautioned me that statistics can be insanely difficult, so I've also jotted down the revised b-school library hours, as it is my home away from home. My biggest challenge will be staying focused while it is absolutely gorgeous outside.

At any rate, I hope we're buying new calculators! Most of the excercises appear to be excel-based, and there was no mention of a calculator at the BU bookstore, which means I might have to start bringing my computer with me to the library (which makes my backpack heavier).

Anyway - wish me luck!
